Kraus, Catherine (Marriage - 25 Nov. 1940)
St. Mary’s of the Lake church at Chicago was the scene of the wedding at 9:00 o’clock Monday morning of Miss Catherine Kraus, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Kraus of Colby, and Mr. Stanley Morales of Chicago. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. Dennison officiated at the ceremony.
The wedding march was played by the bride’s sister, Miss Bernadette Kraus, who also, with her sister, Beatrice, sang hymns during the nuptial mass.
The bride, wearing her mother’s wedding dress of mousseline de souie with an all-over lace in coat style, approached the altar on the arm of her father. She carried a bouquet of white roses and white pompoms and her veil was finger-tip length fastened to a lace and satin cap.
The bride’s youngest sister, Miss Dorothy Kraus, attended her as the bridesmaid and wore a dress of peach taffeta. She carried a bouquet of talisman roses and wore a rose in her hair.
The groom was attended by Myron Kniess of Colby, a cousin of the bride.
Following the mass, a wedding dinner was served at the bride’s apartment to the immediate family and friends.
The bride is a graduate of Colby, Wis. High School and has been employed in Chicago the past four years. The young couple is now at home at 837 ?.
